Updated booking and cancellation policies
1. Clients will have their choice of 2-3 hour sessions, or 4+ hour sessions when booking in for work-in-progress pieces.
2. Each session will now have a min. session amount as follows:
a. 2-3 hour sessions—min. of $500
b. 4+ hour sessions—min. of $1000
c. New piece sessions—min. of $1000
Please note: Katie’s hourly rate of $250 is not increasing. The minimum amounts are based on her hourly rate and the minimum hours booked per session. Any additional sit time over the minimum session time (2 or 4 hours) will be added to the minimum session amount as per her hourly rate.
Deposit Policy
Effective July 1, 2024:
All deposits are non-refundable drawing deposits and do not go toward the final price of your tattoo. Each design crafted by Katie typically requires around 8 hours of dedicated work. Your deposit ensures the time and creativity needed to bring your unique tattoo vision to life.
Effective January 1, 2025:
Moving forward, all deposits (past and present) will also be treated as drawing deposits. This means that any deposits for tattoos started prior to July 2024 will no longer be applied to the final tattoo cost. Instead, they will contribute to the design and preparation process.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and support as we implement this change. Katie’s goal is to continue providing exceptional service and artwork tailored to each of her clients. Drawing deposits are valid for one year and are non-refundable. If your piece hasn’t been worked on over the year, you’ll need to put down a new deposit to book another session.
a. Large, multi-session pieces, sessions need to be booked once every 6 months min. to maintain deposit validity. The best case (and preferred) scenario is to come in every 6-8 weeks until your piece is completed.
Katie appreciates each and every client that comes through the studio. While tipping and gifts are always so appreciated, they are not mandatory.
Cancellation Policy:
Sometimes life happens and things need to be rescheduled. Katie is happy to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, while maintaining her schedule as best she can for herself and for her other clients.
With that in mind, any cancellations need to be received a minimum of 5 days before your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations with less notice, will result in forfeiture of deposit and a new deposit will be required to book another appointment. This new session will not be able to be moved or rescheduled.
Please note: The cancellation notice minimum does not apply if you are sick. If you fall ill before your appointment, please email as soon as you can and we will re-book you. Please do not come to your appointment if you are ill.

The details:
How booking works: Thanks to my incredible community, I’ve been able to keep very busy! When I have space to take on new clients and new work, a specific date and time will be announced on my Instagram, @kshocs. A link to an online form will be posted for submissions—this is the only way to submit new ideas to me to make sure none get missed! When I’ve selected the chosen entries, they’ll be contacted via email and able secure their appointment with a ($250) deposit when spaces are available. As much as I wish I could fit everyone in, I have a limited amount of appointments available during my open time periods. Please know I read every submission and, in order to have the happiest clients, I choose the pieces I feel are best suited to my style of tattooing. Sadly, not all submissions will be guaranteed an appointment. If you have any questions, please email me at tattoos@kshocs.com.
A non-refundable PayPal or e-transfer deposit of $250 is required for all bookings. Just so I know you’re as committed to your piece and idea as I am!
Any follow-up appointments needed to complete your piece can be booked via email and these do not require additional deposits. Please contact me at tattoos@kshocs.com to schedule appointments for works in progress.
Touch-ups are complimentary (30 minutes max) for 6 months following the completion of your tattoo. Anything over 30 minutes will be charged at my current hourly rate.
All tattoo work is custom drawn for each client. I don’t do drawing viewings ahead of time (in person or over email). But don’t worry! There is always time for minor changes the day of your appointment. (Oh, while we’re on it, as my art is drawn once for a specific client, please refrain from reproducing my designs in your own pieces—though that’s very flattering. But feel free to use them as inspiration!)
If you have a Hotmail account I would recommend providing an alternate email address, as those addresses are notorious for filtering out my emails to my clients. Please always check your spam & junk folders too and/or add us to your 'Safe Sender' list. I don’t want you to miss anything!
RATES
Katie's rate is $250/hr.
* Work-in-progress (WIP) sessions can be booked up to 6 hours a day. Subject to change without prior notice. A non-refundable drawing deposit of $250 is required for every booking.
Also please note, my private studio takes cash & e-transfers only at the moment.
Studio Mask policy
